Social groups are a great way to meet new people whilst simultaneously visiting interesting places, and Yorkshire Relish has been bringing people together in this fashion for over 20 years now. Not only is it exclusively for the LGBT+ community (and inclusive for guests of members) but collectively over the years, the members of this amicable club have visited most of the restaurants that make Leeds such a vibrant and interesting place to meet. From high end, well-recognised establishments to little hidden gems, it is the purpose of Yorkshire Relish to bring people together over good food and fine wine.

The group first formed back in 1994 and has been administered by a number of members since inception, before being taken over by Rob Wilson in January 2013.
Rob was already an extremely successful event organiser, having worked for a number of social groups in the Leeds area such as The Yorkshire Bears, Spice Yorkshire & City Card Leeds.
He currently also coordinates ‘The Bad Mittens’ (Leeds only LGBT+ inclusive badminton group) & ‘The Angels of Freedom’ LGBT+ community safety project, and also founded the Leeds inclusive Rugby Union team ‘The Leeds Hunters’.

We usually meet on a Friday evening every 6 – 8 weeks, in various restaurants within Leeds City Centre.
As we have members who travel from across Yorkshire we set a dining time for 8pm, however we encourage members to arrive earlier so that they can mingle and meet a number of other guests prior to seating.
New members are always welcome to join us! To join our mailing list please register here.

Bookings are open for our annual visit to Tharavadu Restaurant, the home of Kerala cuisine.

Yorkshire Relish Dining
I always look forward to a Relish night out. Usually held on a Friday evening it is a wonderful start to the W/E. It is a chance to catch up with old friends and hopefully make a few new ones. Everyone is made welcome and there is always plenty of time to chat over a pint or glass of wine followed by some delicious food. Then before you know it, the evening is coming to a close and I am off home with a warm glow having had a good night out.
