Revolución de Cuba Leeds

There’s a new big player in Leeds, and it’s sure to become a big hit with those looking for a fresh newIMG_0259 range of Cuban inspired tapas dishes accompanied by a plentiful range of cocktails. But why stop at the cocktails, when you can visit the upstairs rum bar, where there’s an assurance of an increasing range which will continually expand as new exclusive bottles are added.

The venue is laid out over 3 floors, and beyond recognition as the site of the former Baracoa Luxe Bar (which will shortly be opening up next door, where The Rock Bar was located). It’s clear to see that the company have made a significant investment in bringing their Cuban flavour to Leeds. The basement toilets and cloakroom area have been overhauled, but your interest will be taken with their stunning new interior of the ground and first floor areas.
Along the back of the ground floor there’s a sizable bar area for those just calling in for sociable drinks, which is partially separated from the remainder of the area which is taken up with seating for the restaurant – although the spacious area allows plenty of room for seating, so you’re not pressed up to your dining neighbours. Great point to note here is they run a happy hour at the bar every night, 5pm until 7pm, which is a great time for sampling their cocktail range.
IMG1Heading upstairs they’ve managed to find a great mix of spacious, yet intimate space. With the booths near the entrance there’s space to gather with a group of friends over tapas and drinks, or the separate rum bar area which is perfect for a private party! Back in the main area there’s a large space with standing tables and barrels placed around the area, alongside a small stage area for weekend entertainment.

Revolución de Cuba serves up a tasty range of dishes, with the perfect level of taste and spices just right for the dishes. Tapas is so much more than just everything with a dollop of tomato salsa, and this is proven by their menu and the dishes we enjoyed on our visit.

Will round off with another handy hint – they do a 241 tapas & cocktails deal every Sunday!

Give it a visit, you’re sure to enjoy!
